Cleaning & Housework
Homemade Cleaning Solution Tip

Miracle Stain Remover. If this doesn't work, nothing will!

1 Cup Cascade (Powder only)
1 Cup Clorox 2
VERY hot water (enough to cover clothing)

- Mix above ingredients well before adding clothing.
- Soak clothes a minimum of 6 hours. I usually leave them overnight.
- Wash as normal and voila!

Tips for getting rid of your child's pacifier
Tip 1: Invent the "Pacifier Fairy". Let your child know that the Pacifier Fairy is going to visit and take the pacifier to pacifier land. When she takes it, she will replace it with a special item (i.e. Stuffed animal-some other comfort item).

How to heal diaper rash naturally
Have a small container of natural olive oil handy. After you bathe the baby, dry his/her bottom well, and then apply a small amount of olive oil as you would a diaper ointment. This works wonders.

Tip for Potty Training
Currently, I'm trying to potty train my 27 month old daughter. I've had great success by having her older 5 year old brother help to cheer her on. He pees in the potty first to show her, encourage her, inspire her and then he chants along with me "you can do it, you can do it!".

More Uses for Vinegar
I use white vinegar for a lot more than cooking.  Add a half cup to the rinse cycle in the wash and your clothes will come out clean and soft (and don't worry, they won’t smell like vinegar).  Don't do this if you use bleach because you should never use the two together.

Using Your Kids for Your Business Photos

Getting more time with your kids...and working at the same time!

Do you have a photogenic child?  I do!  So, I put our digital camera and her love of being photographed to good work!  She models my product for me!  Then, I prepare a scrapbook with the pictures in it for my displays.

Miscellaneous Tips
Use a Bell
Use a bell to summon your children. I keep a small bell in the kitchen and whenever I need to summon my three boys from somewhere in the house or yard, I ring the bell. That's the only time it's used so the boys know to respond when they hear it.

Crafts
Simple Kids Craft
Take a soup can and wash it good.  You will also need some Elmer's glue, shaped macaroni and spray paint.  Have the kids glue on the macaroni to decorate their can.  They can use all shapes and sizes of macaroni.....

Cleaning & Housework
Keep Sterling Silver from Discoloring

To keep sterling silver from changing color, put into a zip lock bag and close tight.  I have been doing this for years and it works.
