Do you have a Girl Scout who needs something called a "sit-upon"? Do you or your children dislike getting
damp pants from sitting on the ground at outdoor events?  A pretty and inexpensive quick fix for children’s
smallish bottoms is an attractive vinyl fabric placemat. I needed a last item of this kind and these worked perfectly!
Cotton will not work as well since they will obviously absorb the moisture, but some sort of non-absorbent material is great!
