If your child worries that you won't come back to pick them up from being left
with a childcare provider, leave something "special" with them that they know is
yours and have them care for it until you return.  This gives the child something
not only to hold onto that is yours for a little extra comfort, but also gives them a
job to keep them busy and they don't notice how long you're gone from them.
