Helping Children To Learn Right & Left Feet

In order to help my young children know which shoe goes on which foot, I drew
small smiley faces on the inside of each shoe.  Now, when they need to put their
shoes on, I simply need to ask them if their "faces are smiling at each other" to
know if they have them on the right feet.  I still need to tie their shoes, but it
helps me have a few more seconds before running out the door and they feel like they are gaining independence.
