Removing Marks From Walls

If your child has ever written on your walls with a permanent marker or other writing tools, 
here is a tip that may work for you. Our walls are a painted, textured sheet rock and we have
 several "artists" in our family.  I have used this method on that kind of walls. Using a soap filled
steel wool cleaning pad, a little water, and gentle circular motion, scrub the marks until they
disappear. It even works to at least drastically lighten (if not totally remove) permanent marker!
Any remaining permanent marker will now be easily covered by touch up paint, even white.
